David Warner Follows Cristiano Ronaldo – Removes Coca-Cola Bottles during Press Conference
In the recent game between Sri Lanka and Australia, the Aussies won a comfortable game at the Dubai International stadium. The Australian cricket team won the toss and decided to field. Since Sri Lanka lost early wickets, Aaron Finch and team were pretty happy about their performance. The Lankan team managed to create a partnership for the second wicket. Well, they failed as they lost wickets at regular intervals.
Mitchell Starc was incredible with the ball along with Adam Zampa in this match. As a result of their tight bowling skills, Australia was able to stop the Sri Lankans to an achievable target of just 154 runs. The middle order of Sri Lanka is in a worrisome state and the management must come up with better plans.
The second innings started off pretty well for the Australian team as the opening partnership was strong enough. David Warner and captain, Aaron Finch managed to pull up a 70 run partnership on the first wicket. Having built a strong base, it was lethal for the batsmen to bat in the middle overs.
David Warner played exceptionally well taking 65 runs in just 42 balls. With his contribution, the Australians won the game by seven wickets and 3 overs remaining. Winning this game, the men in yellow have made it to the top of their group. Well, it was David Warner’s birthday and he gave a treat to his fellow cricketers by playing extraordinarily well in this game.
Warner Does a CR7 Move in Press Meet
After the T20 match was over, the birthday boy came to talk to the press. As soon as David sat, his eyes went to the coca-cola bottles that were kept in front of him. Well, this soft drink company is one of the sponsors of the T20 World Cup tournament 2021.
Well, just like CR7, David also moved the coca-cola bottles down but was asked to keep it back. Warner kept them and gave a smirk saying, “If it’s good enough for Cristiano Ronaldo, it’s good enough for me.”
