The T20 World Cup ended on a successful note with the Australian team emerging as the champions. When Australia beat Pakistan and New Zealand beat England in the semi-final and got into the finals, the excitement for all the cricket fans rose to peak irrespective of whichever country one belonged to. Both Australia and New Zealand are known for their invincible cricketing skills and the clash between them was widely spoken of. A certain set of fans supported whereas the rest wanted New Zealand to win. But Aussies being typical Aussies, displayed a terrific game and emerged victoriously. Though it was past midnight in Australia and New Zealand, many fans witnessed the match live from the comfort of their homes. The Australian team celebrated its victory in various exciting ways!
Shaking their legs: It’s common for any team to indulge in a little candid celebration when there is a victory. But when an important tournament such as the T20 World Cup is won for the first time, it takes little more than just a candid celebration. The Australian team really did enjoy this memorable day by their heart on the sleeve celebration. From singing to dancing, everything was covered for the fans to watch and enjoy. In the dressing room, they were seen singing a song rather loudly and shaking legs for it. While boarding the bus, Percussion drums were arranged and as the players walked out of the stadium, every one of them happened to dance a step or two for the peppy sound. They were also seen capturing such dancing moments on their phone. They also indulge in another quirky way of celebration called “Shoey”. Players like Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis removed their shoes and poured drink in it to take a sip. David Warner being named as the “Man of the Tournament” was another highlight of the day given how bad he was treated during the 2021 IPL.
